What to Bring for your Tax Appointment?

1. Last Pay Stub of 2025: Especially if you have received overtime for 2025
2. Last years Tax Return: New/prior clients
3. Income Statements: Including W-2’s, 1099’s, Unemployment, Gambling Winnings & Losses, Alimony, Pension Statements, Bank Interest, etc.
   
4. Social Security Cards: For both yourself and dependents
   
5. Get Earned Income Credit? Bring proof of residency for each child (Daycare Statement, Report Card, Doctor Bill) & copy of Birth Certificate.
   
6. Daycare: Providers EIN Number and address
   
7. Rentals: Income and Expenses
   
8. Student Loans: Interest Payments
   
9. Continuing Education Expenses: 1098T and Account Summary
10. Want direct Deposit? We need you Bank Account number and Routing Number (NOT Debit Card info.)
    
11. Charity: All Statements containing contributions
    
12. Business? We need business expenses for NYS
    
13. Itemize? Bring statement from mortgage company
    
14. Sold Stock or Other Capital Assets? Need the cost of the item & sale price
    
15. Want a Copy of your Return? If you would like a copy of your return in the future, please ask your tax preparer or receptionist about ways to receive a copy of your return after your tax appointment!
    
16. Self-Employed? Bring the income and expenses of your business!
    
17. New Clients: Bring a copy of last year’s return (VERY IMPORTANT)
    
18. Driver’s License: Required for all return types and especially bank products.
    
19. Medical Expenses
    
20. Property Taxes Paid
    
21. Anything else you deem important; it can’t hurt to just bring it in!
