Beneficial Ownership Reporting
Starting January 1st, 2024, the federal government is requiring any Corporation or LLC/LLP to register with the Federal Government through the Financial Crimes Network. The due dates are as follows:
- Business started prior to January 1st, 2024 has until December 31st, 2024.
- Business started in calendar year 2024 has 90 days from formation.
- Business started in 2025 or after has 30 days from formation.
Failure to comply with the new regulations could result in a $500.00 a day penalty up to $10,000.
